Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Thanks Doris! I was holding the twig as I took the photo. A few seconds later it flew away and I never saw it again. I find a good number of their caterpillars every year and I had this one in an aquarium until it emerged.
